Oh man am I having fun painting doggers! These wieners have alllll the personality. Standard dachshunds were developed to flush out badgers and other burrow-dwelling animals, hence the long shape. “Dachs” means “badger” in German.

What I’m discovering about dogs is that they aren’t the most colorful of subjects so my aim is to insert as much expressiveness as possible with line work. I’m loving playing with paint dabs and wild, simple strokes. The BARBARIAN way 😉
