I know not everyone gets the appeal of these small yellow mollusks but there are certainly a few that do. In Santa Cruz they’re even a school mascot. Go Slugs!

Winter is the time when these creatures flourish — we love walking around in the wet redwood forests looking for them. It’s our wet winter activity.
